Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese and Crayola’s Feed Their Hunger and Creativity Campaign {Prize Pack Giveaway!}

While I have been busy focusing on the fact that summer is flying by in the blink of an eye, it seems that I have failed to make an obvious connection: the arrival of fall means back to school.

How did that happen? Before I know it, Little Sister B will be heading back to preschool and Big Sister E will be going to kindergarten. Full time! Like a real... I don't know. Kid! Not my baby, a full-fledged kid in school all day!

As I prepare for the first day of school to arrive in only a few short weeks, I'm focusing on getting us all ready. For me, I have to work on holding back the tears so that I don't embarrass my girls too much when I have to say good-bye to them. For them, I want to do all that I can to help feed their hunger as well as their creativity and keep them going throughout the day.

Which is why Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese fits in perfectly!

Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese understands the importance of preparing for a successful school year, so they have partnered with Crayola to bring an exciting back-to-school opportunity to families everywhere. Now through September 30th, inside specially marked packages of Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese will be a coupon for $3.00 off your next $10.00 purchase of Crayola products.

How great is that? Not only can your child enjoy the delicious taste of Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese, but Crayola is THE name when it comes to the supplies that children everywhere will be packing in their backpack for school. The two just go well together!

Kraft Crayola prize pack

When our Polly-O/Kraft String Cheese and Crayola Feed Their Hunger and Creativity pack arrived, we all began to feel inspired. While the girls got right to work expressing themselves with the Dry-Erase Board, Wild Notes Journal and art supplies, I began thinking of what fun we could have with our cheese.

Of course my kids (and I) like to eat our string cheese straight out of the wrapper, but when it comes to creativity, we could do better than that, right?

After browsing the recipes available from Kraft and Polly-O, I decided to try one of their suggestions while also coming up with one of my own. First, the String Cheese & Fruit Stacks recipe. Using our own ingredients and toothpicks (as we didn't have popsicle sticks or skewers), our mini fruit and cheese kabobs turned out cute, bite size and delicious!

Next, I decided to stick with the combination of fruit and cheese, but this time be even more creative and turn them into something that would surely bring a smile to my kids' faces. As suspected, their eyes lit up at the Apple Cars that I created out of slices of apple and circles of string cheese!
