Oftentimes when I'm out shopping, I get a little bewildered by all the choices and how they would relate to my life.
On the one hand, I'm a casual person. When I'm out and about, it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll be in jeans or athletic pants, so it's hard to imagine the need that would arise for a stylish, dressy handbag or fun new purse.
On the other hand, however, I like all those stylish, dressy options in handbags and purses. Because they just make me feel... like an adult. There's nothing like walking out in a great pair of heels with a fashionable purse over your shoulder to reinforce the fact that you're not in sweats with dried macaroni & cheese stuck to your sock.
So, the question lies in finding the happy medium: a handbag that can somehow work for hitting the town or for a swing by the park all without missing a beat. And the answer? My Reversible Nylon Cut Out Tote by Meray Arnett.
Available in three color options (Black/Grey, Beige/Navy, and Beige/Red), this tote combines standard features such as design and functionality with unique additions like ergonomic comfort and, of course, having two color options in one bag.
I have to admit that I was slightly skeptical that a handbag could be reversible without coming across as a little odd, but as soon as I saw the Beige/Red in person, that doubt was completely erased from my mind.
The smooth, colorful nylon of this tote is soft and flexible and right away I noticed that carrying it was going to have a different feeling than with a standard purse. The way that it rests on your shoulder and against your body is more of a it-molds-to-me versus a my-arm-is-getting-pushed-out-in-order-to-accommodate-my-bag feeling, which is nice.
I initially also wondered if the lack of zipper closure would bother me, but I have found that the magnetic snap works well (I would prefer it to be just slightly stronger) and manages to keep my belongings safe and sound inside while also allowing me access without too much trouble. Or, if there is something that I want to keep safe or separate, there is a cute zipper pocket on the back of the bag that is perfect for just that.
As this tote is reversible, that means there is actually a zipper pocket on the inside as well as the outside
Measuring 16" H x 13" W x 5" D, the Reversible Nylon Cut Out Tote provides plenty of space for all of my necessities and still has room to spare. As the bag itself is so lightweight, even when I have it filled, I don't feel as though it is weighing down on me at all.
And I love the way that the 7" drop opening seems to be exactly the right size so that the tote stays in place on my shoulder instead of dropping off and needing to be adjusted every few minutes like other bags of mine.
The beige and the red manage to complement each other, no matter which side I have facing out (leaving just a glimpse of the other color on the inside) and look great with just about any outfit. And switching back and forth between the two sides isn't difficult at all, you simply remove your items, pull the bag through, and it's set to go. With how flat this folds down and it's versatility, this is a great tote to bring along when traveling!
From the vivid, easy to clean nylon (that repels water well) to the stylish leather trim to the soft but structured high quality of this bag, Meray Arnett has found a way to take a simple tote bag and make it fashionable, versatile, and convenient. With three color variations, there is sure to be a Reversible Nylon Cut Out Tote for just about any taste.
