Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit {Review & Giveaway - 3 winners!}

As summer is nearing its end already, it is hard for me to believe that in a few short weeks I'll be sending both of my girls off to school. While Little Sister B will still be attending preschool two mornings a week, Big Sister E is somehow old enough to be heading off to kindergarten all day, every day. My baby? Really?

While both girls are thrilled to return to the learning, fun, friendship and more that comes along with school, one aspect that they're especially excited about is lunchtime. I'm not sure why eating lunch at school (or at the end of a morning of preschool) is such a magnificent event, but they both can't wait to pull out their sandwich, fruit, veggies or yogurt and eat with their friends.

Fortunately, just in time to make those lunches easier for all of us, Rubbermaid has introduced their Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit and has made packing quicker, easier and more convenient.

Rubbermaid LunchBlox review

Containing four modular containers – two small snack containers, one medium size container, and one large container perfect for a sandwich – this entire kit snaps together to save space in your lunch bag.

Even better, it comes with its own Blue Ice pack that connects right along with the containers to keep food items chilled and ready to eat throughout the day.

Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit

I appreciate that Rubbermaid not only made each of these containers perfectly portioned (0.5 cup, 1.2 cups, and 2.6 cups) for lunch foods, but that they are able to be stacked together into various combinations. They connect easily to the Blue Ice pack to avoid being tossed around or jumbled in a bag, yet they pull off easily enough that children won't have any problem on their own.

Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit

As Rubbermaid is known for only top quality products, I was pleased (although not surprised) to see that the LunchBlox Sandwich Kit is microwave-, dishwasher- and freezer-safe, while also BPA-free. There is never any worry about the plastic itself or how simple it is to use, clean and reuse these handy containers for everything from nuts to fruits to veggies to sandwiches to chips and more!

Instead of worrying that yogurts will end up warm and leaking all over our lunch bags, these leak-proof containers (which only leaked when I really made an effort to squeeze them) have increased our lunch options – making both the girls and me happy.

Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit Review

Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kits retail for $12.99 and, along with the rest of the new line of LunchBlox containers, are available for purchase at a variety of retail stores as well as online at Rubbermaid.com, Amazon.com and more.

While we were already eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new school year, Rubbermaid has made it even more exciting with this great kit. We love the way that they are just the right size for lunch, easy to use, and make packing up food quick and convenient.

Thanks to the generosity of Rubbermaid, three people will get to see just how handy this Sandwich Kit truly is, because...

Three lucky people will win a LunchBlox Sandwich Kit

It would be so useful for my dad. He always takes his lunch in a few different containers, and he always seems to lose them here and there.

My daughter's school doesn't have a lunch program, so we pack a lunch every single day. These new lunchbox products would be a great way to provide her with healthy sandwiches that aren't soggy from the vegetables such as tomatoes.

This would be great for myself. I pack lunch or dinner to bring to work when I have shifts over seven hours. Sometimes I have food that needs to be heated up, but not the entire meal. There are also certain foods that taint one another when they are in the same container. Have you ever had a fruit such as a banana next to your sandwich and all you can taste is banana when eating your sandwich? This lunch kit is the perfect solution.
