Fun in the Sun #14: Chili's Margarita Madness {$20 Gift Card Giveaway}

What is it about summertime that the feeling of being on vacation seems to extend into so many aspects of our lives? Just because kids are out of school, I'm not the only one that thinks that we should all be able to lay around and enjoy long work-free, cleaning-free, cooking-free, lazy days, right?

Unfortunately, the work and the cleaning aren't going to go away. But when it comes to cooking, heading out to eat now and again to somewhere that we know will have tasty food and a family-friendly atmosphere can provide a much-needed break for all of us.

Lately, one of our favorite places to visit has to be Chili's. Priding themselves on great food and the same genuine service that they began with back in 1975, this is one restaurant that we know can be depended on for a good meal, a casual environment and everyone leaving full and happy.

Even the gloomy, rainy weather couldn't dampen our spirits, because as well as the burgers, fajitas, ribs and more that Chili's is known for, they have recently added a great new promotion that is perfect for a little summer fun. It's a little something called...

That's right, Margarita Madness.

Chili's is promoting nine refreshing and delicious margaritas that are great-tasting, ice cold and perfect for a night out with friends, a treat for yourself or a way to celebrate summer. How can you pass up something like The World's Freshest Margarita, The Presidente Margarita or the Patron Pomegranate Margarita?

Whether you're a fan of sweet, sour, fruity or tangy, if you enjoy a good margarita, you are going to love Margarita Madness at Chili's. Just be prepared to look over their menu for quite a while to try to select a favorite!

After our decisions for food and drinks had finally been made, we just had to sit back and wait for our tasty choices to arrive.

And when they did... yum!

Everything from the appetizers to the meals (regular as well as off of the kids' menu) was delicious! As usual, even after our bellies were full, we still ended up bringing home multiple boxes with leftovers because Chili's doesn't skimp on their portion sizes. That's not a problem, however, it just means that we can enjoy the yummy flavors the next day as well!

This visit ended the same as our past trips to Chili's: happy that the girls had enjoyed their food and were entertained by the kids' menu activities and that the friendly service only added to the enjoyment of the meal. It was another success!

However, the fun of Chili's extends past what you can find within their doors and they always have a creative promotion or two up their sleeve. This time the Margarita Madness menu has turned into the Chili's Margarita Madness Sweepstakes!
