But... when it comes to pulling out the grill, aren't there those times that it just doesn't feel worth it to lug out and fire up the big one if you're just having a meal for yourself? Or what about when it's raining or the temps have dropped and you still want a burger? Do you just figure out something else to eat?
That's just silly! You pull out your George Foreman Next Grilleration Removable Plate Grill, of course.
As well as the convenience and ease of using a grill like this with a 72 square inch cooking surface and removable, dishwasher-safe plates, George Foreman Healthy Cooking has once again made grilling better for all of us.
Due to the patented slope of all George Foreman grills, that angle allows the fat to drain away from your food into a drip tray to be discarded. You end up with a moist, perfectly-cooked meal but with less fat included in it. On top of that, the nonstick cooking surfaces don't require any sort of butter, oil or cooking spray, which just means one more way to keep them off of your family's plates.
But George Foreman and their fans aren't the only ones who have noticed this great way to stay healthy. With the launch of the Knock Out the Fat campaign, independent testing has shown that George Foreman Grills remove up to 42% of fat from quarter-pound burgers made with 80/20 ground chuck beef, translating to a reduction of approximately 89 calories per burger!
When the George Foreman GRP4B Next Grilleration Removable Plate Grill arrived, I was already impressed by the long list of features that it included:
- 72 square inch grilling surface lets you cook for 4
- 2 dishwasher-safe removable grill plates for easy clean up
- Temperature indicator light indicates plates are at grilling temperature Integrated handle is ergonomic & compact
- George Tough™ Triple non-stick coating is durable & eliminates need for oil
- Patented sloped grill design knocks out the fat
- 1 ½" floating hinge works to accommodate thick cuts of meat
- Embedded heat elements provide consistent heat & rapid recovery time
- Dishwasher-safe removable plates with cool-touch handles for easy clean up
- 2 Plates included: 2 ribbed grill plates
- Drip tray catches run off liquids for no-mess clean up
- Spatula is customized for grill
Removing the grill plates is extremely easy, as just by pulling out the tabs on the sides the entire piece pops right off.
Putting the Next Grilleration to the test, my husband was only too happy to make himself a burger without having to drag out the outdoor grill. After a few minutes of preheating, he tossed it right onto the George Foreman, closed the top, and then let it grill away.
Having included a Grilling Chart right in the instruction manual...
...I appreciate that George Foreman makes it easy to cook meats, vegetables, and more just right. After about five minutes, my husband's burger was done and ready to eat.
The result? Great!
Not only was the burger cooked thoroughly and evenly, but we were able to easily see just how much extra fat and calories were avoided by using this grill.
And do you see all that leftover cooked-on mess? We left the George Foreman Next Grilleration sitting for days on the counter (can I claim it was for the review and not just because of pure laziness?) and both my husband and I were prepared for quite a bit of scrubbing and cleaning awaiting us.
Instead, pretty much as soon as the water was turned on, it all started to wash away!
But, heck! If that wasn't easy enough, these plates really don't take up much room at all right in the dishwasher - and who doesn't love the convenience of that?
If you have never cooked with a George Foreman Grill, you're missing out! For anyone who enjoys grilling burgers, chicken, veggies, fish, steaks, and more year-round and would like to make it even faster, more efficient, and healthier, you'll be happy with the flavor and results that a small appliance like the GRP4B Next Grilleration Removable Plate Grill will provide.
