Nutrisystem {Week 30}

Nutrisystem BloggersWith the blogosphere abuzz with hype over the annual BlogHer conference being less than two weeks away, it's hard to not get caught stressing about flights, hotels, sessions, parties, and, very importantly, what to wear.

(As well as also wanting to apologize to those that aren't attending and are already beyond sick of hearing BlogHer11 this, BlogHer11 that at every turn. Sorry!)

Having attended BlogHer10, you'd think that I would be less concerned about outfits - after all, I'm not a newbie this year so I know what to expect, right?

Well, yes and no. Last year I had the extreme fortune of representing Energizer as a Smart ChargHER, so my outfits for during the day were therefore predetermined (with their bright green polo shirts). As for the evenings, I did some good shopping before traveling out to New York and was happy with my slacks, tops, and a great little black dress.

But this year as I pack to head to San Diego, there are two obstacles in my way. First, every conference is going to be different. Although the days are casual, there are already some pretty, shall we say, snazzy evening plans this year that are making me rethink what's in my closet and if it's quite right for the occasion.

Second, there's Nutrisystem.

Having not been a part of the Nutrisystem Nation last year (I'm fairly certain it didn't exist at the time), I was still going through my standard weight loss struggles... namely that I wanted to lose weight but just couldn't seem to do it on my own.

So when I look back at my posts from the time, I realize that there is hardly a picture of me included. Partially because I didn't take millions of them and partially because when I look at the few that I have, they show what I wish they wouldn't: extra pounds. Who wants to post those on the internet?

Well, this year I'm heading to the conference again and I'm going to be more than 20 pounds lighter than I was last year and that just feels good. Although I do have most of my clothes ready to go, I did hit the stores this weekend with Big Sister E in tow to find a fun party dress to replace last year's... which is now two sizes too big for me.

And after this year? There will be pictures.

Nutrisystem NationPrevious loss: 23.4 lbs

This week: -0.0 lbs

Total loss: 23.4 lbs

The thought that I'd hit the 25 pound mark before hopping on the plane is starting to diminish, but you know what? That's okay. It's still such a difference that I'm not going to complain and I'm not going to worry about it. We'll see what happens in this upcoming week and then it's time to go have fun!
