Replacing Search Engine Optimization with Cuteness

I often get questions emailed to me about beginning a blog, getting started with reviews, and more.

After getting over the baffling concept that there are people that seem to think I have any clue as to what I'm doing, I'm always willing to make an attempt to dish out advice. After all, one of the unique aspects of blogging is that although the essence of it is individual, we're all a part of the same community.

But when it comes to being in the Review Blog niche, there are a lot of facets that we deal with that (I assume) personal bloggers do not. I love reading about the trials and tribulations that other moms are going through and everything from the celebrations to the hardships that they endure and conquer.

However, wherein so much of what I do is tied into analyzing web traffic and researching marketing and boring stuff like that, they focus on choosing the right words to eloquently tell their story.

And that sounds appealing sometimes.

Instead of always coming across as only a review blog, why not take the time to simply post a random thought or a cute picture or two? Who doesn't like those?

So, without further ado, the cute pictures that made me laugh recently...

Letting Little Sister B select her own clothes this morning, she picked a purple and blue wrap-around dress that my mom made when Big Sister E was young. It's an adorable dress, both in the fun fabrics she used and the unique criss-cross loose design. Each of my girls has worn it multiple times and it has never failed to receive compliments.

And, looking at her straight-on, today was no exception.

She was the one who picked the large flower clip to complete the outfit as well. Not to mention the cheesy smile.

Cute, right?

But hold on just one minute here. When we turn to the side, we see...

Hmm. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's not how my mom designed the dress to look.

But apparently to a 2-year-old, this way works just fine.

Hello, Fashion Police? I think we need your help over here!

If you blog, do you ever think about what it would be like to write in a different niche? And if you have kids, do you let them dress themselves... without too much embarrassment?

Ha Ha!! Too cute! I do often write in a different niche...while I do deals, coupons, review, and giveaways. I use each October to write about my mom and breast cancer. It's nice to change it up!

Ha....no, she doesn't dress herself yet!

I'm not a niche blogger, I'm an all over the place blogger; I'm not disciplined enough for anything else.

On the matter of children dressing themselves. My daughter startted feeding herself at 6 months, she got so furious when I tried to assist the pediatrician told me not to. When she was about 17 months she started with clothing, that time I didn't even bother. I'm never embarrassed I take pride in the fact that my child knows her self and has enough confidence to face the world however she chooses.

Ha ha! That's adorable!!! I can't believe that's LITTLE sister though! Wow, I haven't been coming around often enough!!! (Sorry!) As you already know, I started off as a blogger just blogging about my family's life and then one day I turned into a review blogger as well. I try to do it all! lol Why not, right? :)

I hope you are enjoying your summer and not too HOT!

I am looking to start a blog blog and I originally had no clue there were so many different kinds of blogs. It has made me take pause and think about what Im really hoping to achieve with the whole ordeal. Anywho your lil one is adorable and reminds me of my daughters and how much I love when hints of their personality start peeking out via their clothes selection process.

Whatever you are doing you must be doin it right~a faithful reader and mother of a 6great y.o fashion adventurista and a toddler who only seems to want to wear yellow :/

I'm not sure if I have a niche. I mean, I do a lot of product reviews but I also blog about my kids a lot.

Love that new style! Although, I do hope it doesn't catch on. I'm not sure I'd look as adorable as she does if I wore my clothes like that!

OK, so I laughed my butt off when I read this in my email subscription, and I'm laughing again now. She is the cutest little thing! I love the first picture with her big smile...I just want to hug her. But then the side picture is just too much! Awesome!

As you know, I am one of those people who think you know what you're doing, and I am grateful for the help you have given me. I do love when you get a little personal here, though. :-D
